- Type 27 are Flat and Type 29 are concave
- Made with premium zirconia alumina abrasive cloth backed by a high strength fiberglass disc.
- Ideal for high production grinding, blending,deburring and finishing.
- Perform well on a wide variety of materials including stainless & carbon steel.
- Durable grain resists loading or clogging on softer materials such as aluminum, brass, bronze & fiberglass.
- The fanned, abrasive cloth flaps wear evenly, constantly exposing new, sharp grain allowing for full use of the abrasive material.
- Disc consist of sanding strips on a strong cloth backing that are bonded to a fiberglass backing plate in an overlapping circular attern. With this process, a new layer of the sanding strip is exposed as each previous layer wears away, resulting in a consistent cut rate all through the life of the disc. With just one of these flap discs, you can complete material removal and finishing in the same process.
- Grind more smoothly than angle discs and are Less aggressive than angle discs
- Best choice for flat surface work and normally operated at a 0° to 15° angle
